This brain tanned moosehide the earrings are backed with was gifted to me by my Grandmother, which was gifted to her by my Grandfathers Mother. She is almost 99 years old living today, and this leather she says belonged to either her Mother, or her Aunt. That makes this piece almost 100 years old at least! Passed between 4 generations of Métis family 😊❤️ The smell of smoked hide has faded, but it is still soft as ever.
